AREVA finalizes sale of Transmission and Distribution activity

The AREVA group today finalized the sale of its Transmission and Distribution activities to Alstom and Schneider Electric, in an operation previously approved by antitrust authorities and the French privatization commission, and following an information and consultation process with employee groups.
The decision to sell AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution business was taken by the Supervisory Board on June 30, 2009 as part of the group’s development plan.
