AREVA T&D and GE Consumer & Industrial India announce strategic alliance

AREVA, through its subsidiary AREVA T&D India, and GE Consumer & Industrial India jointly announce their strategic alliance in transmission and distribution. The alliance will mainly focus on turnkey electrical solutions in the power generation, mining, metals, mineral processes and material handling sectors. The synergy of both companies’ current product portfolios will offer customers an adapted and complete solution for all their power distribution, control and automation needs.
During the signing ceremony, Ananth Ramaswami, President & CEO, GE Consumer and Industrial - India, stated that “The coming together of two trusted industry leaders directly benefits customers, by offering a comprehensive and competitive range of turnkey solutions for electrical system requirements.”
Rathin Basu, Country President & MD, AREVA T&D - India, commented “First and foremost, the Alliance with GE C&I will provide industry and power segments customers, with competitive fully engineered solutions at all voltage levels. GE brings Low Voltage and Lighting Products’ expertise, while AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division brings proven expertise in the complete range of High and Medium Voltage Products and Systems. This alliance is also one of the strategic enablers that will contribute to AREVA’s ambition to grow in the power and Industry segments.”
