Transmission and Distribution: Seventh annual European Users Group Conference in Paris

AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution Division (T&D), is holding its 7th European Users Group Conference in Paris, France, from November 16th to 18th, 2008.
This year’s European Users Group focuses on innovative grid solutions for more efficiency and reliability, an optimized environmental footprint and the integration of consumer choice.
More than 200 experts from leading European utilities and AREVA’s specialists in information technology and energy operational processes will gather to debate and drive the definition of solutions to match economic and societal requirements.
The conference is an integrated element of AREVA market approach supporting its leadership position in the supply of smarter grids management solutions. It is structured around round tables, experts’ lectures, interactive debates as well as live system demonstrations.
“Our innovation strategy at AREVA T&D is based on interaction with our customers. Our market is going through the technology revolution we have experienced 10 years ago with the internet and telecommunication, further regulators impose on grid operators new economic and societal requirements”, comments Jean-Michel Cornille, Executive Vice-President for AREVA T&D’s Automation Business Unit. “In order to support grid operators through these new challenges, we propose an end to end approach including joint innovation and migration plan with customer partnerships.”
