Transmission and Distribution: AREVA unveils Smarter Grid solutions for distribution companies

Company continues its focus on Smarter Grids
San Diego, USA – AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division has launched its Smart Grid Suite for Distribution this week, at Distributech, at stand 131.
This suite, dedicated to managing distributed generation and supporting demand response strategies, is comprised of e-terradistribution, e-terrasource, e-terraMDM, e-terrasettlement and e-terraDRPM. Incorporated into AREVA’s Integrated Distribution Management System (IDMS) platform, it is specifically tailored for distribution utilities and companies involved in demand response programs.
The new suite benefits from experience acquired in multiple distributed generation management projects. A live product demonstration will take place during Distributech
“This innovative product launch in the areas of Distributed Energy Management and Smart Metering, shows how AREVA is expanding its offer in the distribution management solution field,” said Jean-Michel Cornille, Executive Vice-President for AREVA T&D’s Automation Business Unit. “Through Smarter Grids solutions such as these, we are helping our customers meet today’s challenges of reduced environmental footprint, energy efficiency, reliability and active consumer engagement,” he added.
